2022 World Cup: South Africans wants Black Stars eliminated at group stage

The Black Stars of Ghana will be participating in their fourth World Cup tournament after securing qualification at the expense of Nigeria on an away goal rule.

Ghana has been paired against Portugal, Korea Republic and Uruguay in Group H.

They will begin their 2022 World Cup campaign against European giants, Portugal on November 24 before taking on Korea Republic and Uruguay.

The four-time African champions will hope to make impact at the mundial despite being pitted in a tough group.

According to Transfermarket, Ghana has the least expensive players among its group opponents. The 26 players presented is valued at 113.18 million euros.

Portugal has the most expensive players in the group with a market value of 747.5 million euros of 23 players whereas 26 players of Uruguay have a value of 86.4 million euros.

Asian side Korea Republic has a market value of 133.88 million euros of 24 players.

Son Heung-min, who plies his trade for Tottenham has a market value of 80 million euros and is the second highest paid player in Group H after Bruno Fernandes of Portugal who plays for Manchester United (90 million euros).

In Uruguay, Federico Valverde of Real Madrid has a value of 65 million euros whereas Ghana’s Thomas Partey, who plays for Arsenal is valued 40 million euros.
