2022 World Cup: GoN to provide 100 buses to carry fans to Abuja to support Super Eagles against Ghana
Following reports of CAF’s approval of Nigeria’s request to have a full capacity at the Mashood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, the Nigerian government is putting in place strategies to get the stadium pregnant.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja is making provision for 100 buses to convey Nigerian fans to the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday when the Super Eagles of Nigeria host the Black Stars of Ghana.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands that the transportation will be free to carry fans to the stadium and back to their destinations after the game.
Reports in Nigeria are that the Minister of Youth and Sports Development has teamed up with the Minister of the Federal Capital of Abuja to make the buses available in various parts of the Abuja metropolis to convey the fans.
Nigerians are hoping to impregnate the Mashood Abiola Stadium with huge numbers to replicate what they were served at the Baba Yara stadium on Friday when they played the Black Stars in Kumasi.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium was fully packed with numbers as the 40k seats in the stadium were all occupied.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and Simon Moses have all spoken about the intimidating crowd at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the NFF and the Ministry of Sports in Nigeria are looking to create same atmosphere on Tuesday.
The first leg of the playoff ended in a virgin score line with the Nigerians hoping to overcome their Ghanaian counterparts to qualify.
The second leg of the clash is set to be titanic as both sides are looking to pick a ticket for the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana is attempting a return to the World Cup after missing out in 2018 while Nigeria are looking to secure a second straight appearance at the mundial.
