2022 World Cup play-offs: Nigeria get Victor Osimhen injury boost for Ghana clash

Nigeria have been handed a big boost with the return of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen from injury ahead of Ghana clash.

The West African rivals were paired against each other in the 2022 World Cup play-offs to be played in March.

Ghana will first host the Super Eagles in Accra before the second leg in Nigeria.

The winner of both legs will secure qualification to the World Cup slated for November and December in Qatar.

Osimhen, who ply his trade for the Italian outfit missed the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations due to a facial injury which forced him to settle for a protective mask

But in a post sighted by Footballghana.com, the enterprising attacker is no more in a protective mask and could be ready for Nigeria clash with Ghana.

“The Man (Osimhen) to unmask,” the club wrote.

In his absence, Nigeria reached Round of 16 of the Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Ghana recorded their worse AFCON performance after failing to win a single game at the tournament.
