2022 World Cup playoff: We have what it takes to beat Nigeria – Ghana coach Otto Addo
Ghana coach, Otto Addo remains confident that the Black Stars have it takes to qualify ahead of Nigeria.
The senior national team will battle it out with their rivals, the Super Eagles for a place in the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana will host Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 25 for the first leg before the return game at the Abiola National Sports Stadium on March 29.
Despite the Black Stars’ uninspiring performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON], Otto Addo believes his outfit still have in possession what it takes to win.
“We are Ghana and we have what it takes to come out victorious,” Addo, who was a member of Ghana’s squad that played in the 2006 World Cup in Germany said.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars players together with the technical team will leave Accra on Tuesday night for Kumasi where the team will camp for the games.
The team will hold their first training at the Baba Yara Stadium before the game on Friday.
Ghana are chasing to return to the Mundial for the fourth time having missed out in the last edition in Russia in 2018.
