2022 World Cup playoffs: Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to meet Black Stars today ahead of Nigeria game
His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will host the Black Stars at the Manhyia Palace ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoff games against Nigeria, Footballghana.com understands.
The Black Stars arrived in the Ashanti Region, Kumasi, on Tuesday afternoon to intensify training ahead of the game on Friday.
However, before the game this weekend, Otumfuo will host the playing body together with the technical team at his premises.
Otumfuo is expected to offer words of encouragement to the team ahead of the crucial games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Black Stars will host the Super Eagles in the first leg on March 25 before the return leg game at the Abiola National Stadium on March 29.
Ghana are seeking to return to the Mundial for the fourth time having missed out in the last edition hosted in Russia in 2018.
Having suffered a disappointing campaign in Cameroon during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON], the team are bent on securing a convincing win before the return leg in Abuja.
The team is expected to train today and tomorrow before the game on Friday evening.
Kick off is at 19:30GMT.
