2022 World Cup qualifiers: Ghana v Zimbabwe preview

Milovan Rajevac will hope to begin his second coming on a good note as Ghana hosts Zimbabwe at the Len Clay Sports stadium in Obuasi.

A month ago, a new direction was taken as CK Akonnor was shown the exit after a poor start to the World Cup qualifiers.

Zimbabwe, who have gone through a managerial change of their own, will hope to cause an upset as they face a tricky test.

Preview

Ghana are currently third in Group G after winning one game against Ethiopia and losing one to South Africa.

Zimbabwe, in comparison, a bottom of the log with just one point earned so far during their game against South Africa.

The two teams have locked horns on six occasions with Ghana winning three and losing one.

They have never faced off in World Cup qualification. Hence, more than three points will be at stake.

Ghana XI: Ofori, Mensah, Djiku, Jonathan Mensah, Andrew Yiadom, Partey, Iddrisu, Kamaldeen, Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Fameyeh

Zimbabwe will be without the mercurial Khama Billiat due to suspension.
