A good and easy draw for the Black Stars will be against Tunisia – Saanie Daara
Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association and CAF media expect Ibrahim Saanie Daara is defiant the Black Stars can secure 2022 World Cup slot should they draw Tunisia in the playoffs.
The Black Stars is among 10 countries on the African continent that have booked a place in the playoffs slated for March 2022.
The four-time African champions defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to secure playoffs spot and will be drawn against countries in Pot 1 which include Tunisia, Nigeria, Senegal, Algeria, and Morocco.
However, according to Saanie Daara, Ghana can progress if they draw Tunisia who are not politically strong as compared to the rest of the countries in Pot 1.
“What will really help Ghana is Tunisia. If you look compare Tunisia in terms of player-to-player Ghana is far ahead. Politically they are not strong. If you draw a country like Morocco and Nigeria, they have the players and are politically strong in the football circles”
“If you meet Senegal, Algeria they will disturb you and if you face Nigeria or Morocco, it will be difficult due to the politics involved. If we draw Tunisia, I can say we have qualified for the World Cup already” he told Happy FM.
The draw for the playoffs has been slated for December 18, 2021.
