AFCON 2021: “Algeria is struggling, let’s be patient with the Black Stars” – Sports Minister tells Ghanaians
Ghana’s Sports Minister Yusif Mustapha has called on Ghanaians to be patient with the Black Stars despite their poor start to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The four-time African Champions has failed to win a single game at the tournament losing one and drawing one in the process.
The West Africa powerhouse must defeat Comoros convincingly to better their chances of qualifying as one the best third-placed teams.
Ahead of the game tonight, Yusif Mustapha has wished the team well and has called on Ghanaians to be patient with the team since the defending champions, Algeria is struggling.
“Want to wish the Black Stars the best of luck in their final game. I will call for support and patience because we have seen what has happened in the tournament”
“The big teams are struggling. We saw Algeria who are champion are struggling so let’s be patience with the team”
“I am confident and hopeful we will beat Comoros and qualify for the next round of the Afcon” he said.
Ghana takes on Comoros at 7pm in their final Group C clash.
