AFCON 2021; Milovan Rajevac debunks reports of communication problems
Milovan Rajevac, Head Coach of the Black Stars, has debunked reports of a purported communication problem within the camp of the Black Stars.
The experienced Serbian tactician is known not to be fluent in English and this has raised concerns as to whether or not the Serb is able to get his instructions across to the players.
The Black Stars have endured a difficult start to the 2021 African Cup of Nations where the team has picked up just one point from two games and playing poorly as well in the process.
Ahead of the team’s final group stage game at the AFCON, Milovan Rajevac has however debunked reports there are communication problems in the camp of the Black Stars.
“I don’t know where you got this type of idea. I took the team [in 2010] and we were second and managed to finish the group stage in first place. ” – Milovan Rajevac stated.
“Communication was not a problem then? I talk to the players a lot and they understand what I want. We came across some obstacles but we’re ready to improve our performance.” – the Serb added.
Ghana take on Gabon in their final group game and need to win in order to salvage any hopes of qualifying for the knockout phase of the competition.
