African Football will become globally competitive – Patrice Motsepe
Newly elected CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe is confident African Football will improve and become competitive during his tenure.
Motsepe who was speaking to the press in Johannesburg says he has no doubt, he will grow and develop the continental game over the next four years.
“I am absolutely confident that over the next few years African Football will improve, becomes globally competitive and self- sustaining.
“I am not going to be president of an organization that four years from now has not made practical and tangible progress.
Motsepe was elected unopposed to lead trouble-torn CAF after a two-year ban over “governance issues” prevented Malagasy Ahmad Ahmad seeking re-election for a second stint.
The mining magnate has promised to quit after his four-year term if CAF “does not make real progress” under his leadership.
