Akonnor to name Ghana final Squad for South Africa and Sao Tome showdown on Friday
Ghana coach Charles Akonnor will announce his squad for next week 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Friday.
Black Stars will take on Bafana Bafana on March 25 in Johannesburg before their final qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe three days later in Accra
The list is expected to be dominated by the local based players due to unavailability of the foreign based players amid fears of the covid-19 restrictions.
Akonnor has already assembled local based players for the past three weeks preparing them for the task ahead.
He is expected to trimmed the squad on Friday when he announce the final squad.
The naming of the squad for the double header will be done courtesy the Association’s official Facebook and YouTube channels, ‘Ghana Football Association’, during the live broadcast of GFA News.
Ghana are top of Group C ahead of the last round of group matches.
