Anderlecht announce the capture of Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru
Belgium giants Anderlecht have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru on a permanent basis.
The attacking midfielder has signed a four-year deal from Red Bull Salzburg after a successful loan spell.
Sporting Director of the club Peter Verbeke explained the reason why the club took the decision to signed the Ghanaian midfielder.
“Despite a difficult integration due to Covid and an injury, Majeed has shown in his best moments what he can teach us. He has an excellent vista and passing, coupled with speed and infiltration ability, interesting qualities to give our midfield a little extra bring the following seasons,”.
Ashimeru scored two goals in 12 appearances be made for the club in all competition.
He moved from Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC to Salzburg in August 2017 and has spent loan spells at Austria Lustenau, Wolfsberger AC and FC St. Gallen.
