Andy Yiadom's Reading confirm appointment of Paul Ince on one-year deal

Andy Yiadom’s Reading FC have confirmed the appointment of manager Paul Ince on a one-year deal

Ince took interim charge of the club after the sacking of Veljko Paunovic in late February, winning four and drawing three of his first 11 games in charge.

Reading’s upturn in form allowed the side to secure survival with three games remaining, despite incurring a six-point deduction in November for breaching EFL financial rules.

Yiadom has been one of the consistent players for Ince since his appointment and is edging closer to signing a new deal with the club, Footballghana.com can report.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Championship club in 2018 from Barnsley on a four-year deal will see his contract expire at the end of the season.

He had a descent campaign despite the club’s struggle in the 2021/22 season, winning Player of the Season Prize.

Yiadom made 38 appearances for Reading in the Championship, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.

He has featured 132 times since joining the club 45 less than his 177 for Barnsley, which is his highest for a single club in his career to date.
