Arsenal fans react as Eddie Nketiah reportedly makes Ghana decision
Arsenal fans have reacted to reports that Eddie Nketiah is considering an international switch from England to Ghana after the Black Stars qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to reports, Nketiah and his family have been contacted by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in recent weeks over a potential switch that could see him team up with his teammate Thomas Partey.
Partey put up an incredible performance in the absence of skipper Andre Ayew to lead Ghana to the global showpiece by soring in the 1-1 draw against Nigeria in the return leg of the final play-offs in Abuja.
Nketia, who has been linked with a move away from Arsenal has made 13 Premier League appearances this season failing to score for Mikel Arteta’s side but has provided one assist.
However, in the Carabao Cup this season, the 22-year-old has scored five goals in five games for the Gunners.
Here are some comments from Arsenal fans on Nketia’s potential switch from England to Ghana before the World Cup:
@KunguniKenyatt: “Partey convinced Nketiah to join Ghana. And Now it has happened. ‘Now you are ready for Ghana’.”
@ivmdecember: “We finally have Eddy Nketiah switching to Ghana. It’s left with Chelsea’s Odoi.”
@MataayaMC: “Eddy Nketiah switching to Ghana is a good news. I hope he gets the needed respect and attention, so he won’t regret this decision.”
@Frimpong30: “So as many as four Ghanaian players(Partey,Schlupp,Jordan and Nketiah) are on the field playing for both Crystal Palace and Arsenal. Don’t get it twisted Ghana will be a big deal at the World Cup.”
@Amini_gh: “Nketiah and Brobbey for the future.Williams is not needed.”
@K9Majoris: “Agent Partey!”
