Asante Kotoko announce the signing of goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu from WA Suntaa
Asante Kotoko SC have completed the signing of goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu ahead of the start of the start of the Ghana Football season.
The 23 year old has signed a three-year deal with the club following a successful negotiations.
He joins the club from Division One League side Wa Suntaa.
The goalkeeper has been tipped as the long term replacement for Felix Annan who left the at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.
Rafiu enjoyed brief spell with Wa All Stars FC before dropping a tier to join Nkoranza Warriors FC and Wa Suntaa SC.
He comes in as a trusted pair of hands from the National Division One League and is heavily tipped to offer stronger competition for starting berth in the camp of Asante Kotoko.
He becomes the club’s sixteenth signing of the campaign.
