Ashantigold appoint Spanish trainer Rodriguez Lazaro as new assistant coach

Ashantigold have appointed Spanish coach Alejandro Manu Rodriguez Lazaro as deputy head coach of the club.

The 29-year old will work as deputy coach to Romain Folz with Thomas Duah as the second assistant coach.

Lazaro arrived in Ghana on Friday and will move straight to Obuasi to begin his new role with the Miners.

According to report, Romain Folz recommended the club to bring the Spanish gaffer to give him a helping hand.

The two worked together at American side West Virginia United in the 2017/2018 season in the USL League Two.

He will also work as the goal keeper’s trainer and serve as assistant coach.
