Ayew backs Thomas Partey to make it big in EPL
Ghana captain Andre Ayew has backed compatriot Thomas Partey to come good at Arsenal, despite what has been a mixed debut season for him.
Partey sealed a big money move from Atletico Madrid last summer, and was tipped to take the league by storm while representing Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, things haven’t gone according to expectations for the 27 year old, with injuries and inconsistencies within the Arsenal setup affecting the player’s progress at his new side.
As the season draws to a close, discussions have began across platforms about the impact of the Ghanaian, and what could have been perhaps.
Andre Ayew, speaking in an exclusive interview with the Athletic UK’s Stuart James is positive that Thomas Partey will come good and light up the Premier league with stuff he’s made of.
“I think Thomas… they’re going to see a lot from him very soon. I know his quality very well and he’s going to make it big. As soon as he’s going to get free with his injuries and get to his full speed, he’s going to be massive, ” Ayew said.
Thomas Partey has so far made 31 appearances for Arsenal registering 3 assists in the process.
