Ayew brothers have not quit Black Stars - Spokesperson Fiifi Tackie

Fiifi Tackie, the Spokesperson of the Ayew family has rubbished media reports that Andre and Jordan Ayew have quit the Black Stars.

Earlier report in the local media suggested the duo have decided not to play for the national team again after being criticized for the Black Stars poor showing at the Cup of Nations.

But in a post sighted by Footballghana.com, Fiifi Tackie has denied such claims and has called on Ghanaians to treat it with the needed contempt it deserves.

“Andre and Jordan Ayew are still very committed to the Black Stars team as they have always been. They will keep donning the Black Stars jersey to represent Ghana and give the team their very best on and off the pitch, as always. We just got off the phone,” he wrote.

Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew, like the rest of their Black Stars teammates have come under intense pressure following Ghana’s early AFCON exit.

Andre Ayew will miss Ghana’s World Cup play-offs against Nigeria in March, after seeing red in the Black Stars’ final game against Comoros.
