Ayew brothers joins Black Stars training camp in Doha

Ghana captain Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan have arrived in Black Stars camp in Doha, Qatar for pre-AFCON training camp.

The Black Stars has been preparing ahead of the tournament in Doha for two weeks now and are expected to travel to Cameroon later this week ahead of the start of the tournament.

The much-anticipated tournament will start January 9 as 24 country’s battel it out for the covetous trophy.

The Ayew brothers were captured in a Tik Tok video shared by Mubarak Wakaso from the Black Stars hotel in Doha.

The duo arrived late after CAF agreed to extent their stay with their respective clubs until January 3, 2022.

The pair was supposed to join the Black Stars on December 27, 2021 but the continental football governing body ruled they could play for their clubs until January 3.

Andre, despite being based in Doha, arrived late because he was involved in Al Sadd’s league game on Monday against Al-Sailiya.

Jordan also arrived late because of club duty as he played for Crystal Palace against West Ham in the Premier League last Saturday.

Andre and Jordan could play in the Black Stars only pre-Afcon friendly on Wednesday against African champions Algeria.

Ghana will depart for Cameroon on January 7 after the Alegria game.

They will open their tournament account against Morocco on Monday, January 10 before taking Gabon and Comoros respectively in the group stage.
