BA United Chief slams referee Maxwell Hanson, tag him as ‘armed robber’

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brong Ahafo United Major Kwame Baah has slammed Referee Maxwell Hanson and labeled him as an armed robber.

The Tema based referee who handled the division one league game between Brong Ahafo United and Real Tamale United at the Sunyani Coronation park which ended abruptly due to invasion of the pitch by angry fans following a penalty decision to the visitors.

The action of the fans forced the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association to close down the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The CEO in reaction to this said, Referee Maxwell Hanson is an armed robber who came to Sunyani to Rob them of their all time investment.

“He is an armed robber. He is an armed robber. Maxwell Hanson is an armed robber. I am telling you. Because what he did he wanted people to die. He wanted people to die in Ghana here”. Major Bash told Odiasempa on Wamputu sports on Happy FM.

“See, after May 9th disaster that 126 people died, should a referee do this?”, he quizzed.

“He’s an armed robber in the sense that, if he had applied the rules of the game when he came to Sunyani and officiated the match peacefully, we all would have left the venue to our homes”, he added

Major cautioned the referees to do the right thing so as to prevent the act of hooliganism in our beautiful game of football.
