Bafana Bafana doubles training ahead of their match against Zimbabwe
Hugo Broos had the Bafana Bafana players work out on the training field twice on Tuesday in preparation for their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe on Thursday evening.
Broos, on the other hand, stated unequivocally that despite doubling up on training in one day, the players were not exhausted. He was concerned about the players’ ability to recover in time for the two qualifiers in four days.
“We have to bear in mind that we do not have many days to train before the game (against Zimbabwe),” said Broos.
“The tempo has to be maintained so that we do not tire the players, bearing in mind that we have a very big fixture against Zimbabwe on Thursday.”
After Thursday’s match at Soccer City, the team departs for Ghana on Friday. They are expected to arrive in Accra, on Saturday.
