Black Stars newbies hungry for success with NT
Captain of the Black Stars Andre Ayew has revealed new Black Stars boys are hungry for success with the senior national team.
The Black Stars who are on a rebuilding mission have been blessed with an abundance of young and talented players who seemed to have brought a new energy into the team.
CK Akonnor, who is the head coach of the Black Stars in his recent call ups has included young players such as Philemon Baffour, Danlad Ibrahim, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, among others.
With the 2021 AFCON in sight and 2022 World Cup qualifiers approaching, Ayew believes the youngsters will help the team obtain its objectives.
“The talent is there; maybe a bit less experience but the talent, the endeavor, fighting spirit, the desire to do good things are there. I can feel it when I’m with the boys at camp, they are very hungry and motivated,” the captain for the Black Stars said as reported by Citi Sports.
“Fatawu, Kudus, Danlad; all these young guys coming up, they have a bright future but to be successful they need to be able to deal with the pressure.
“I hope that as a squad we will be ready to fulfill what the nation wants,” he added.
