Black Stars will travel to South Africa on a chartered plane for a World Cup qualifier
Ghana’s Black Stars squad will fly from Accra to Johannesburg on Monday for a 2022 World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
The Black Stars will arrive in South Africa on Sunday morning, only hours before their match against the Bafana Bafana.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), with the assistance of the Sports Ministry, has agreed to make the trip to the away match as smooth as possible in order for the Black Stars to arrive on time.
The cost of obtaining the special flight is also lower, making it more economical in addition to the technical factors that have secured the Black Stars’ success in the past.
The team is set to embark on recovery training in Accra on Saturday before departing for Johannesburg later that day.
When they meet South Africa on September 6, 2021, at the FNB Stadium, the Black Stars will be hoping to make it two victories in a row.
The team will depart Ghana for the big encounter on Saturday.
The Black Stars will exercise at the FNB Stadium on Sunday to finalise preparations for the match on Monday.
