BREAKING : Star midfielder Gladson Awako unwilling to play for Hearts of Oak again
Hearts of Oak midfielder, Gladson Awako has reportedly quit the club after just one month of the Ghana Premier League champions.
According to media report, the midfielder has informed the club about his unwillingness to continue with the club for he cited as spiritual reason.
The 31-year-old joins the Ghana Premier League champions after a successful stint with city rivals Great Olympics in the 2020-21 season .
Reports indicate that, the midfielder has told the club that he has been battling with illness and injuries which the player has attributed his predicaments to ‘juju’ from some of his teammates.
Awako left the team camp after Hearts friendly defeat against Accra Lions and has since not return.
He has since missed Hearts’ last three friendlies after going under the weather and will miss the club’s CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Cl Kamsar in Sunday.
