C.K Akonnor makes 5 changes to Black Stars XI to face Ivory coast

Head coach of the Black Stars, C.K Akonnor has made five changes to the starting lineup that lost the game against Morocco last week, with the likes of Thomas Partey and Andre Ayew being introduced into the team.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play Ivory Coast this evening following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Morocco.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora who was at fault for the goal the Stars conceded has made way for  Lawrence Zigi in post.

In defense, former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player, Baba Abdul Rahman comes in for Gideon Mensah, while Andy Yiadom has retained his right back spot.

FA Cup winner Daniel Amartey will also partner Djiku Alexander who comes in for Nicholas Opoku in central defense.

Andy Yiadom has maintained his place on the right side with Baba Rahman been preferred ahead of Gideon Mensah.

Thomas Partey who was not involved in the 1-0 defeat against Morocco comes in for Emmanuel Lomotey, with both Baba Iddrisu and Kudus Mohammed maintaining their place in the team.

Skipper Andre Ayew has also been introduced and will partner Jordan Ayew and Emmanuel Gyasi upfront.
