Cameroon, Ghana and Tunisia start world cup qualifiers with home wins

Cameroon, Tunisia, and Ghana kicked off their Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers group stage campaigns with victories at home on Friday night.

Cameroon defeated Malawi 2-0 in Yaounde, scoring twice in the first half. Cameroon will play Cote d’Ivoire, while Malawi will host Mozambique in group D.

Ghana, on the other side, defeated Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium with a goal in the first half. They are presently in first place in Group G. Bafana Bafana drew 0-0 with Zimbabwe yesterday.

Bafana Bafana hosts Ghana on September 6, while Ethiopia takes on Zimbabwe in Bahir Dar.

Tunisia also scored three goals in the second half to defeat Equatorial Guinea and claim first place in Group B.
