CHECK: Johnson Smith names Asante Kotoko starting lineup for Karela showdown
Asante Kotoko Coach Johnson Smith has named his starting eleven for his side’s big game against Karela United.
The Porcupine Warriors face the current league leaders at the dreaded CAM Park at Nzema Ayinase.
The game is crucial for various reasons; chiefly it presents an opportunity for Asante Kotoko to move ahead of Karela and earn top spot after Match Week 13.
Ahead of the fixture, Coach Smith has made on change to his last starting eleven with center-back Yusif Mubarik coming in for Wahab Adams.
In his 4-4-2 starting formation, the duo of Naby Keita and Kwame Opoku will lead the attack while Fabio Gama will operate a free role although he starts fork the flanks.
The league’s best Goalie statistically Razak Abalora also starts with Samuel Frimpong and Imoro Ibrahim offered opportunities to face their former side.
It’s the same story for Abdul Ismail Ganiyu who will partner Yusif Mubarik at the heart of defense.
