Chelsea Star Hudson-Odoi meets Ghana President Akuffo-Addo

Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has met the president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo.

The English player of Ghanaian descent has been in the country for close to a week as he tours the country in a bid to acquaint himself with happenings across Ghana during this post season.

He has already been sighted at various places of interest and was seen at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, watching the Gamashie Derby between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics.

On his visit to the presidency, the young winger had time to interact with President Akuffo-Addo on some wode range issues with football dominating.

Among other things discussed, President Nana Addo put in word for the player to consider a nationality switch to play for the senior national football team of Ghana, the Black Stars.

Hudson-Odoi has played for England at various youth levels andade his debut for the Three Lions (senior team) in March 2019.

He has however found it difficult to break into Gareth Southgate’s squad in recent times, prompting suggestions that he should consider switching his allegiances to Ghana.

The message from President Akuffo-Addo is expected to carry kucb weight and might lead the player to seriously consider Triggering a nationality switch.

Hudson-Odoi was born in the UK to a Ghanaian father, Bismark Odoi who played for Accra Hearts of Oak and is eligible to play for Ghana.
