China-based striker Emmanuel Boateng wants Ghana, Algeria and others learn their lessons after AFCON fiasco
Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng has reacted to the early exit of powerhouse of African football from the Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Black Stars of Ghana, Algeria, Ivory Coast and Nigeria are top football countries that have exited the tournament.
Ghana and Algeria were booted out of the competition after failing to win any of their games in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Nigeria and Ivory Coast who progressed out of their group have exited the tournament at Round of 16.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Levante striker who currently ply his trade for Chinese side Dalian Pro urged countries like Ghana, Algeria and others to guide against complacency in such tournaments.
“We don’t have best country, now every country can play and you can see Malawi and Comoros doing well at the tournament and its shocking”
“I think Nigeria, Algeria and Ghana exiting the tournament is a lesson to them, they shouldn’t underrate any country” he said.
Emmanuel Boateng has capped 7 times for Ghana scoring 1 goal in the process.
