CK Akonnor name starting XI against Sao Tome; Ayew, Jordan and Partey start
After missing the game against South Africa, skipper Andre Ayew has been handed a start in Coach Charles Akonnor’s team for today’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Both Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey have also been handed start in the team after missing the game against South Africa.
Razak Abalora starts in post for the Black Stars with Benson Anang and Baba Abdul Rahman on the right and left sides of defence respectively.
In central defence, Nicholas Opoku will pair up with Abdul Ganiyu who had an outstanding debut against South Africa.
Mubarak Wakaso, Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus all start in midfield.
The front three will be made up of Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Osman Bukari who is starting his first competitive game for the senior national team.
