”Coaching Black Stars is like coaching 2nd/3rd Division team”- Richard Kingson

Former Black Stars Goalkeeper Richard Kingson has made a staggering revelation likening coaching the Black Stars to coach a 2nd or 3rd Division side.
Kingson who was popularly known as ‘Olele’ during his playing days, represented Ghana at the 2006 & 2010 World Cups and was also a member of the Black Stars squad that finished as runners-up at the 2010 AFCON.
Kingson, 42, has been very active in the game since hanging his boots in 2015 and has already begun securing his coaching batches.
The former Ghana international speaking about his coaching ambitions ruled out seeking for the Black stars role but prefers to lead Catalan giants Barcelona citing the Black stars role as unattractive.
“Not that I have what it takes, we all know it, and after my two years service with the Black Stars, we all saw it. Coaching the Black Stars is like coaching a 2nd or 3rd division team.” – Kingson said
“I want to coach Barcelona because I know I have what it takes to do it. Coaching the Black Stars is not extraordinary” – He added.
The former Wigan Athletic goalkeeper has in the past been part of the Black Stars technical team as a goalkeeper’s trainer and is currently the goalkeeper’s trainer of Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.
