Competing with government makes it difficult to win the League- Great Olympics General manager
General manager of Great Olympics Oluboi Commodore, says club may not be able to win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League because they are competing with the government.
The wonder club are second on the league table with 30 points, just one point behind leaders Karela United after 17 matches played.
Many have tipped the Accra based club to push for the ultimate following their impressive performance in the part of the season.
But speaking to Otec FM on his chances, Oluboi revealed competing with Karela United will be difficult due to the support they get from GNPC and GH-GAS.
“Olympics can win this year’s league but we might not because we are competing with the Gov’t,” Oloboi told OTEC FM
“All the clubs playing the league are competing with the Gov’t because GNPC and GH-Gas are supporting Karela FC with the country’s money to succeed.
“Money that is supposed to be shared among the clubs,” he added.
Great Olympics have not been able to lift the Ghana Premier League since 1974.
