Continue from where CK Akonnor left off – John Paintsil to Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac
Former Ghana defender, John Paintsil has urged new Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac to continue from where his predecessor CK Akonnor left off.
Last month, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) appointed the Serbian tactician to become the head coach of its national team for the second time.
Prior to that appointment, Coach CK Akonnor who has led Ghana to play two matches in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers had been sacked.
With Coach Milovan Rajevac expected to play his first match on Saturday, John Paintsil has asked that the coach continues from where CK Akonnor left off.
“What Milo [Rajevac] needs to do is to continue from where CK Akonnor left off,” Paintsil told BBC Sport Africa.
“For me, I don’t think CK did badly – he won his first match (World Cup qualifier) at home and lost his second match away against South Africa,” John Paintsil told BBC Sports Africa in an interview.
Milovan Rajevac will be in the dugout on Saturday when Ghana hosts Zimbabwe in the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Tomorrow’s match will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium and has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.
