Danish coach about Daramy: How he surpasses Kamaldeen
It is only a matter of time before Mohamed Daramy is presented as a new player in the Dutch big club AFC Ajax, and thus he will be FC Copenhagen’s most expensive sale to date.
Ajax can thus look forward to bringing in the greatest talent in Denmark. This is the opinion of Ole Tobiasen, who has many years of experience as a player and coach in Dutch football, and who himself played 141 matches for FC Copenhagen in his own playing career.
“He is the greatest talent in Denmark. Mohammed Kudus was the same before his departure to Ajax, and what they both have in common is that they have good personalities”
“He is a creative winger. Young and talented, but you also hear good news that he works hard. An example is that he works hard defensively in FCK,” Tobiasen tells the Dutch media AD.
It is no secret that Ajax were long interested in buying Kamaldeen Sulemana from FC Nordsjælland. However, the lightning-fast Ghanaian eventually chose to switch to French football instead of signing with Stade Rennes.
But Ole Tobiasen does not consider that Ajax will go down a shelf by picking up Daramy instead.
“I do not want to say that, because I think he is even better in a one-on-one duel than Sulemana”, says Tobiasen, who is currently assistant coach in Heerenveen after two years as head coach in Almere City from the second best Dutch series.
Ajax icon Soren Lerby, who played for Ajax for eight years from 1975 onwards, has also spoken to AD about the Danish great talent, and he especially highlights Darami’s speed as the great force.
“There is no lack of speed. Daramy is lightning fast, but he’s just very young. Whether he will succeed in Ajax, we have to see, but I understand well that Ajax wants him,” says Lerby.
19-year-old Mohamed Daramy shone once again for FC Copenhagen in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over SonderjyskE, where he also lined up for Jonas Wind’s 2-0 scoring.
