Defender Andy Yiadom focused on keep Reading in the championship
Andy Yiadom is looking forward to representing Ghana at the World Cup, but first, he wants to assist Reading stay up.
The defender helped the Royals get a crucial point against his former side Barnsley, who are now fighting for survival in the Championship.
“It has been so great helping my international side reach the World Cup finals, but right now me and my Reading team-mates have to do everything to keep our club in the Championship,”
“That’s our focus, beginning with a massive game against Stoke tomorrow,”
A late equalizer from Josh Laurent cancelled out Barnsley’s early goal from Carlton Morris, putting Reading five points ahead of the Tykes in the relegation zone.
Barnsley faces an enormous challenge to survive, but the Royals are on a rampage, having scored five points out of a potential nine.
“It was always going to be a battle against Barnsley at Oakwell, but the main thing was not to lose.” he ended.
Yiadom has played 34 games this season for Reading, he has scored one goal and assisted one goal.
