Dennis Appiah talks about Canaries’ successful start to season

FC Nantes right-back Dennis Appiah looked back on the Canaries’s start to the season before tackling the derby in Rennes on Sunday.

“It’s good to get away for points but I think what the team lacked last year was that we weren’t able to improve our results at home. There, we knew how to do it in front of our audience.

It’s always important to have a home debut. We were able to achieve it with style, with mastery. The audience was with us, behind us, and that’s really nice.

I think it hurt them (FC Metz players, editor’s note) to see us score immediately upon returning from the locker room. We have gained confidence. […] We could even have made the mark even more serious and that’s where we have to improve,” he said in an interview with the club website.
