Division One League: Promotion- Chasing Tema beat Okyeman Planners to extend Unbeaten run to 17 games
Promotion Chasers Tema Youth SC extended their Unbeaten run to 17 games after beating Okyeman Planners 3-1 at Tema Sports Stadium in the National Division One League on Sunday.
The game started on a quite note as both sides played carefully to avoid their opponents from taking the lead, action was much focused in the centre area with midfielders from both sides playing well.
Richmond Darko got the opener for Tema Youth on 35th.
With just six minutes to the first half, Asare Appiah double the lead in the 39th minutes to put the game beyond the reach of Planners.
The first half ended 2-0 for the home side.
Upon resumption of the second half, Tema Youth came strongly into the game with some beautiful football and won the ball possession for the major part of the game.
Daniel Appiah increase the tally for the home side on the 65 minutes to make it 3 nail.
With the game heading to the end,
Okyeman Planners got the consolation on the 80th minutes.
Tema Youth held onto the lead until referee brought proceeding to an end.
The results takes the Harbour Boys to ten wins seven draws and 0 defeat in the ongoing campaign.
They have scored 25 goals, conceded 11 and bragged 37 points from 17 matches.
They have also kept eight clean sheets in the competition.
Tema Youth will be at home on Wednesday 28th April, 2021 to face Tudu Might Jets at Tema Sports Stadium.
