Division Two League: Referee Kofi Kyei Andoh resigns after bribery allegation

Referee Kofi Kyei Andoh, the match official who allegedly took a bribe in a division two sub middle league played at Sameraboi has resigned from refereeing.

The Ghana Premier League referee was recently accused of influencing the match involving Heman.

In an audiotape that leaked and circulated subsequently, assemblyman Yaw Baako, popularly known as Honorable Aboroso admitted to paying a bribe of GHS7,000 to referee Kofi Kyei Andoh during the game between Heman United and Aboi Youngsters.

“I’m the one who paid the money. I should be blamed for everything that happened. I should be pardoned for whatever that happened,” Honorable Aboroso admitted on Asempa FM

With the shame that has come upon referee Kofi Kyei Andoh, he has through a letter announced that he is resigning.
