DOL: In-form U17 defender Sayibu Yakubu named MVP in BYF Academy-Star Madrid clash
Black Starlets defender Sayibu Yakubu continued his fine form for BYF Academy on Sunday in their 1-0 win over Star Madrid to emerge the player of the match.
The talented defender who was phenomenal for the Bekwai side, showing class in the game was unequivocally acclaimed the best player of the game.
Sayibu continued from where he left off with the national team during their one-week stay in Morocco for an international friendly with the Atlas Lions.
Sayibu was instrumental for the Ghana U17 side and showed masterly performance for his local club in the Division One League.
The defender featured in both games for Ghana against Morocco and lasted full duration of the games played in Rabat a fortnight ago.
His performance in the game that saw BYF Academy winning 1-0 courtesy a brilliant strike from Hadji Sadick earned him the MVP accolade.
He’s expected to maintain his form and continue with his brilliant performance as the DOL hits the 9th week.
