DOL Super Cup : Accra Lions pip Samartex, RTU defeat Arsenal


It was the turn of Group B in the Division One League Super Cup at the Madina Astro turf on
Thursday.
The first game saw Ghana Premier League newbies Accra Lions defeat Samartex 2-1.
Samartex broke deadlock of the game just two minutes into the game with an excellent free kick.
Christopher Acheampong restored party for Lions with a stunning strike on the 17th minute.
After the break, Evans Eenee made it 2-1 for Accra Lions to complete the come back.
In the second game, RTU defeated Berekum Arsenal 3-2 in a pulsating encounter.
Mohammed Sayibu gave RTU an early lead after 6th minute.
Amos Yeboah levelled matters for Arsenal with a good a header minute after wasting a Penalty.
Amos Anim made it 2-1 for Arsenal with another header.
In the second half, Fatawu Sayibu equalized for RTU before Roland Frimpong scored the winner in the 71st minute for RTU.
