DOL Super Cup Committee to meet clubs on Monday

The Local Organizing Committee of the Division One League Super Cup will meet the 8 participating clubs on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11 am at the Headquarters of the Ghana Football Association.

The meeting will discuss among others, finalisation of date for the commencement of the competition, General organisation of the competition, and new venues selected for the maiden edition.

The Division One League Super Cup specially created for the best performing clubs in the second tier League was originally scheduled to kick off this month. Newly promoted Premier League sides Real Tamale United, Bibiani Gold Stars, and Accra Lions, will be joined by three second-placed teams, namely, Tano Bofoakwa, Skyy FC and Tema Youth while two-third best-placed teams Berekum Arsenals and FC Samartex 1996 join to make it an Eight club competition.

The tournament will serve as a preparatory ground for the clubs ahead of 2021/22 season which will commence in October 2021. The Mini tournament also aims to give additional incentive to clubs and players ahead of the new season.
