DOL Zone 2 MD4 Preview: Vipers set to spit Venom on New Edubiase, Hasaacas and Nzema Kotoko square off in the Western Derby
Zone two leaders Bibiani Goldstars look forward to shielding their position and make it four wins out of four matches as they take on Unistar Academy in week four of the National Division One League.
With 9 points at the apex, Coach Kobbina Amissah’s side is poised for victory, leaving no stone unturned. Striker Prince Owusu will also relish goals to increase his tally on the goal king chart.
As the two sides are separated by 5 points, a win for the home side, makes it two successive home wins.
Away team Unistar Academy look to put out a better performance for win, and reduce the points difference.
There is everything to fight for in a game that could mutate the dynamics of the league log.
Second placed Star Madrid are left with no choice of a win when they engage Pacific Heroes in Agogo. Pacific Heroes are briming with confidence, after dispatching Asokwa Deportivo 3 – 1 in previous week. An away defeat shovels Star Madrid from the second spot.
Sekondi Hasaacas – after beating Achiken in previous week – face Nzema Kotoko. The Western Derby could go either way as they are abreast with matters of each other. Skipper Abeiku Ainooson, formerly of Asante Kotoko, will rally his colleagues for all points.
Asokwa Deportivo hope to bounce back as they play guest to FC Samartex. Meanwhile, a win for Samartex sees them level on points with Deportivo despite having two outstanding games to play.
New Edubiase United, having shared spoils with All Blacks in their last game, face an ominous task of beating Venomous Vipers. With 5 points after 3 matches, New Edubiase United cannot settle for anything less of a success in Cape Coast. Vipers’ win moves them a point ahead of Edubiase.
Bekwai Youth Football Academy host Proud United, with the host tipped to make amends, following two consecutive away defeats. After amassing 3 points in 3 games, the Bekwai-based club go into this game all prepared to keep the three points. Proud United are in search of a first win of the season.
Elsewhere, Achiken FC pay a courtesy call on Swedru All Blacks, as Wassaman United battle Skyy FC.
