Dutch-born defender Jeremie Frimpong finds net as Leverkusen loses German cup tie

Dutch-born defender, Jeremie Frimpong, was able to find the net but his strike was not enough as Leverkusen were knocked out by Karlsruher.

The right-back placed an unstoppable shot past the opposition goalkeeper nine minutes after the start of the second half. The away side had already broken the deadlock thanks to a strike from Lucas Cueto.

Choi Kyoung-Rok made it 2-1 for the visitors, shocking the home crowd and eventually sealing the unlikely victory. It was Frimpong’s debut goal after 27 appearances for the German top-flight side.

Frimpong had the opportunity to play for Ghana or England but decided to snub both in favor of the Netherlands.
