Eguavoen adds youngster Akinkumi Amoo to Super Eagles squad ahead of Ghana match
Akinkumi Amoo, a winger, has been called up to the Super Eagles squad to face Ghana.
Before joining Danish giants FC Copenhagen in January, the former Flying Eagles superstar smashed up the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The youngster has hardly been featured for his new club since arriving in Copenhagen, but he is highly rated by head coach Jess Thorup.
Eguavoen claimed that he intended to call him up for the Africa Cup of Nations, but the winger was unable to do so owing to the NFF’s lack of time.
Nigeria will meet old rivals Ghana in Cape Coast on March 25 before returning to Abuja four days later for the second leg of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 playoffs.
