Elmina Sharks dominate FMIG team of the week
The team at FMIG has put together a team of best performers in the Ghana Premier League during Match Week 17.
From the goalkeeper to the last outfield player, we have taken time to give the various reasons that qualifies the players to make our Team of the Week.
Elmina Sharks had most representative due their sprinted performance against Asante Kotoko.
1- Lord Bawa ( Elmina Sharks) – Bawa was decent in the post and made sure he becomes the only home keeper to prevent the Porcupines from scoring
2-Suraj Ibrahim ( Elmina Sharks) – Gradually getting back to his best after reclaiming his position in the last four games. Suraj was solid at the back on the day and kept Fabio Gama quit in the game. Assisted Mustapha for the only goal of the game.
3-Raddy Ovouka ( Hearts of Oak) – Ovouka scored and assisted twice as Hearts of Oak walloped WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium. The left back was dominant on the left side the defense and made a lot of runs which contributed to the three of the four goals his side scored on the day.
4- Samuel Arthur ( Elmina Sharks) – Man of the match on the day. Arthur put up a great performance and kept Kwame Opoku quit on the day. Won all the aerial duels against the attacker.
5- Mutawakilu Fuseini ( King Faisal) – The King Faisal skipper was solid on the day and ensured his side kept a clean sheets on the day.
6- Sadiq Alhassan ( Karela United) – Sadiq is one of the reasons Karela United are on top of the league. The midfield meastro has been consistent in the side since retuning from injury. Played a huge role as his side came back from a goal down to beat Aduana Stars.
8-Benjamin Acquah ( Ebusua Dwarfs) – Another great performance by the midfielder. Was dominant on the day and scored a beautiful goal to give his side the lead in Bechem. Was voted man of the match after another great performance on the day.
10- Richmond Lamptey ( Inter Allies) – Won the man of the match as his side drew 1-1 with Ashantigold. Lamptey was back to his best on the day and dominated the midfield battle on the day.
7-Alhaji Mustapha ( Elmina Sharks) – What a game he has had. Was instrumental for Elmina Sharks as they brought an end to Asante Kotoko unbeaten away run.
9- Diawusie Taylor ( Karela United) – Scored twice to help Karela United to turn things around against Aduana Stars. The striker Scored his first from a tap in, before heading home late in the game to win the game for his side.
11- Patrick Razak ( Hearts of Oak) – Got back on the score sheet after going many game without scoring. Tormented the WAFA defense and caused a lot of troubles in the penalty box.
