Emmanuel Frimpong reveals he has been staying in Ghana since 2017

Emmanuel Frimpong, a former Arsenal midfielder, has stated that he has been living in Ghana permanently since 2017.

The midfielder has been speaking to Ghana’s primary sports-only channel GTV Sports+ on Sunday Night Live, where he has been sharing insights about his career.

Frimpong began his Arsenal career in their youth academy aged nine. He scored against Coventry City, in 2007, and Milton Keynes Dons, amongst others. Arsenal added him to their reserve team in 2008, whereupon he made his debut for the reserves on 5 October 2009 against Chelsea.

He tells Karl Tuffour that he has been permanently residing in Ghana since 2017.

“I’ve been living in Ghana permanently since 2017. I’ve always had the idea of coming back to live in Ghana. I’ve always had a love for Ghana and I have always wanted to settle in Ghana with my family and my wife and that’s what I’m doing,”

“Obviously, for my whole life, I have been playing football, and it’s been that kind of difficult and stuff like that. There is no better time than now in terms of spending time with the family. And, I have been enjoying that,” he added.
