Ethiopian Premier League side Dire Dawa City SC sign Ghanaian defender Awudu Nafiu

Ghanaian defender Awudu Nafiu has finalized a move to Ethiopian Premier League side Dire Dawa City SC.

The defender signed a one-year renewable contract after passing medical on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old join the club on a free transfer after leaving Equatoguinean side Futuro Kings where he joined in January 2019.

Nafiu is expected to strengthen Dire Dawa’s defence in the upcoming season as they club’s aim at a top four finish.

Nafiu moved to Equatorial Guinea after a two-year stint with Kotoko.

He has previously played for AshantiGold SC, Berekum Chelsea, King Faisal Babes all in Ghana and Azam FC in Tanzania.
