Ex-Kotoko supporter’s chief warns club not to make an attempt to sign Gladson Awako

Former Asante Kotoko supporter’s chairman, Kwaku Frimpong ‘K5’ has warned management of the club not make an attempt to sign Gladson Awako who’s future with Hearts of Oak is in doubt.

Awako, who recently joined the Phobians future is in doubt following the latest interview granted by his agent, Yussif Chibsah.

The 30-year-old has not trained for weeks and has reportedly left camp due to spiritual reasons.

Reports in the local media suggest that Asante Kotoko are interested in signing the Ghana U-20 World Cup winner.

But Kwaku Amponsah has cautioned management not to make an attempt in bringing Awako to the club.

“I have heard some Kotoko board members want to bring Gladson Awako to the club. They should not try this on any day. We will not allow this to happen. He should play his Hearts of Oak and allow us to build our team.” He told Oyerepa FM.

The Porcupine Warriors commenced their preseason last Monday at the Adako-Jachie training grounds under the tutelage of new head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum hoping to get themselves prepared and poised for the 2021/22 season.
