EXCLUSIVE : Ashanti Region Division two league to start on May 14
The Ashanti Region Division Two League is set to start on Saturday May 14, 2021 the Regional Football Association (RFA) has announced.
This comes following a consultative meeting held with clubs officials in Kumasi.
The various Juvenile Leagues, the Regional Division 2 and 3 leagues have been frozen for the past 3 years following the suspension of football due to the Anas Expose.
Last week, President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku hinted at immediate return of the juvenile football during his interview with FootballMadeInGhana.
“We have been engaging. My 10 RFA Chairmen and their officers are very much aware of what is happening and how we are all preparing for the resumption of games.”
“In the next few days we will engage again and I’m sure that very very soon we shall start to consume not only juvenile football but also the 3rd Division and the 2nd Division Leagues,” he ended.
The Division three and the Women’s Division One League will also commence on the same date.
But the Colts league will start on April 17 before the various Divisions League’s follows.
The Ashanti Regional Football Association will in the coming days announce the road map for the various competition.
