Exclusive: Ghana FA makes contact with St. Gallen star Kwadwo Duah
The Ghana Football Association has taken initial steps to win over FC St. Gallen’s Kwadwo Duah to switch nationality and play for Ghana’s senior national team.
Kwadwo Duah, 24, was born in London, England, and moved to Switzerland at a young age. He is of Ghanaian descent, and holds dual citizenship with Ghana and Switzerland.
He has already made appearances for the Swiss Under-Age national sides from 2016 onwards.
With the Ghana FA seeing the prospects of the player, contacts have been made to convince him to play for the Black Stars.
The contact per FMIG checks has been made by the Technical Directorate of the GFA, with the player’s family acknowledging it. However, a decision is yet to be made. FMIG’s source in Switzerland reveals, Duah would be allowed to decide unilaterally, and would receive backing from his family regarding the side he chooses (between Switzerland and Ghana).
